ethos and business model

Fulwell’s business model is one that incorporates both traditional and more inventive ways of raising film finance.

One of the innovative approaches Fulwell incorporates is to attach brands to our projects at an early stage and look to exploit the unique marketing opportunities that each film presents. Utilising this approach we look to produce films that have a high brand association, centred on a subject matter with an already established core market. This enables our projects to attract major brand partners, secure wider releases than the budgets would normally afford and appeal to a number of international markets. This business model offers greater security to private investors and is already in place on our upcoming slate and was crucial in our last theatrical release.

In addition, Fulwell believes strongly in utilising the talents of young British writer/directors, who have both developed their own style and vision and have something important to say that can translate easily to the screen, both in this country and to an international audience. Subsequently, Fulwell has optioned two scripts by one of the UK’s most exciting young talents, Kieron Hawkes. These projects have already attracted some of the biggest names in British cinema to take starring roles, with a number of others expressing firm interest. We are also currently in negotiation with a number of other highly sought-after young British writer/directors, our aim being to help them to bring their first projects to the big screen.

Fulwell’s aim is to make commercially viable films, utilising brand and marketing relationships, while maintaining a creative drive that makes for projects aimed at an international market.
