In The Hands Of The Gods is the true story of five young British freestyle footballers’ journey across the Americas to Argentina in the hope of meeting their hero, Diego Maradona. This coming-of-age road movie tells the story of a group of young men in pursuit of a lifelong dream.

Launched at the Cannes Film Festival 2007, where it was bought by Lionsgate, it opened in the UK with a star studded Leicester Square Premiere. It became the widest release of a UK documentary of all time, opening nationwide in over 60 screens. Nike and Myspace became the films brand partners, injecting a significant amount into the marketing budget. The film has since been sold to a number of European, Asian and Middle-Eastern territories, launched on DVD in Jan 08 and will have its mainstream terrestrial broadcast in early 2009 on the BBC.
